Ayaz Mughal is a journalist, writer, and social activist, widely recognized for his significant contributions to the Right to Information (RTI) movement in Jammu and Kashmir. He played a key role in advocating for the appointment of the first Chief Information Commissioner of the J&K State Information Commission. As the Editor-in-Chief of Kaangri.com and Chairman of Awake India, an NGO committed to social causes, Mughal has authored over 400 articles addressing critical socio-political issues, with a particular emphasis on the education and health sectors. His persistent efforts have brought attention to systemic mismanagement in the education department, resulting in meaningful reforms on the ground. In addition to his journalism, Mughal has penned two books: Chai Stall, which explores various social issues, and As Love Would Have It, a collection of love stories that delve into the complexities of human emotions.
